FAQs
Following an updated security review and a string of cross-chain bridge incidents across the industry, Solv is standardizing on Chainlink CCIP — the most battle-hardened interoperability infrastructure — to protect the $700M+ in tokenized BTC across SolvBTC and xSolvBTC.
Connect your wallet on the affected chain, open the Migrate tab, enter the amount of LayerZero-bridged SolvBTC, approve the burn, and receive the equivalent CCIP-backed SolvBTC at a strict 1:1 ratio. The whole flow is on-chain and non-custodial.
LayerZero bridging for SolvBTC and xSolvBTC is being deprecated on Corn, Berachain, Rootstock and TAC. All other chains shown in the selector remain supported and are now served by Chainlink CCIP.
Yes. The underlying Bitcoin reserves backing SolvBTC are unaffected. The migration only changes the bridging layer — the LayerZero-issued representation is swapped for the CCIP-issued one at a strict 1:1 rate.
After the deadline, LayerZero-issued SolvBTC and xSolvBTC on the affected chains will no longer be supported by Solv. You will still be able to migrate manually from this page, but third-party integrations may stop recognising the legacy tokens.
1) Switch your wallet to the affected network. 2) Pick the chain in the selector above. 3) Open the Migrate tab and enter the amount of legacy SolvBTC. 4) Approve the burn transaction. 5) Receive the CCIP-backed SolvBTC in the same wallet.
Solv does not charge a protocol fee for the migration. You only pay standard network gas on the source chain to burn the legacy token and mint the new CCIP-backed one.
